As we enter 2026, the UBC ALS & Related Disorders Research Program is ushering in a new era of hope for the ALS community in British Columbia. Under the leadership of Dr. Erik P. Pioro and powered by ALS BC PROJECT HOPE, the program is restoring local access to clinical trials, establishing a provincial ALS Biobank, and bridging the gap between cutting-edge translational research and compassionate multidisciplinary care. This integrated "bench-to-bedside" approach ensures that while we provide the highest standard of support for patients today, we are aggressively pursuing the cures of tomorrow right here at home.
